Next steps for churches in community energy investment – free event July 2016
As the case for divesting from fossil fuel companies strengthens, interest in the opportunities to invest in local, reliable community energy projects is growing.
So we are pleased to publicise a free, one-day conference which will explore the potential for church engagement and investment in community energy projects in the South West. The event takes place on Thursday 7th July 2016, from 10.30am to 3.30pm, at Pinhoe Road Baptist Church, Pinhoe Road, Exeter, EX4 7HZ.
Speakers include Jodie Giles (Regen South West), Andrew Shadrake (DARE), Karl Harder (Abundance), Hazel Williams (Divest to reinvest), and Mark Letcher (Bright Now and Climate Works Ltd). The day will be chaired by Rt Revd. Nick McKinnell, Bishop of Plymouth.
To book a place please contact Joan Harris, 01392, 294 940, or joanie@exeter.anglican.org
The conference is being organised by EcoChurch South West www.ecochurchsouthwest.org.uk
