The Diocese of Oxford has completed its divestment from fossil fuel companies, becoming the first Church of England diocese to publicly announce its divestment.

Operation Noah, together with the Anglican Communion Environmental Network, Christian Aid, Tearfund and Eco-congregation Scotland, hosted a webinar on divestment attended by over 220 people on Thursday 25 March.

Operation Noah joyfully welcomes the decision of the Baptist Union to divest from fossil fuels.

Today, Baptist Union Council members overwhelmingly passed a divestment resolution with a 98.5 per cent majority.

On Wednesday 3 March 2021, Eco-congregation Scotland, Operation Noah and partner organisations hosted a webinar on divestment attended by almost 200 people to launch the Scottish Churches COP26 pledge. 

Together with our friends at the Global Catholic Climate Movement, World Council of Churches, Green Anglicans and GreenFaith, Operation Noah is delighted to launch the next global divestment announcement for faith organisations, which will take place on 17 May 2021.

On Tuesday 16 February, nearly 400 hundred people joined a webinar on fossil fuel divestment in the Methodist Church organised by Operation Noah, Christian Aid and the Methodist Zero Carbon Group.
